Dual Enrollment Program

San Benito High School offers students the opportunity to enroll in a variety of college courses while attending high school. This Dual Enrollment Program building an academic bridge to the postsecondary level, while providing students and parents with a preview of postsecondary standards and expectations while studying in a familiar high school setting. Upon successful completion, these courses will be applied to the student’s high school graduation requirements and may be applied to a postsecondary degree. SBHS students pay no tuition or fees for dual enrollment courses.

Timeline for Spring 2017 Dual Enrollment Registration

  • Registration packets can be picked up in the College Center beginning Wednesday, October, 12
  • Deadline for students to submit completed student registration materials is Tuesday, October 25
  • Returning Dual Enrollment students will submit packet to Mrs. Ruiz in the College Center
  • New Dual Enrollment students will submit packet to assigned counselor

For students pending the TSI TEST to qualify for dual enrollment: Testing will take place every Thursday, (4:30 pm – 6:30 pm) and Saturday, (9:00 am – 1:00 pm) throughout October. Please visit the College and Career Center for more information.

Courses offerings and requirements will be included in registration packets. Once finalized, course offerings can also be found at http://college.sbcisd.net/ under the category “College Credit Opportunities.”


PSAT TESTING will take place on Wednesday, October 19.
All 10th and 11th grade students will be participating in PSAT testing.

The College Center is available for students daily from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and Mon. – Thurs. from 4:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Please contact Sandra Ruiz, SBHS Higher Education Coordinator, at 361-6528 or sruiz@sbcisd.net, if any further information is needed.
